A very Maui Christmas

Only 3 months into the winter Mommy was already sick of the cold and wet weather, and decided that we should warm up a little first before heading to the even colder Wyoming and Montana to see grandma and grandpa. That's how we end up here in maui.

Ellie was particularly excited about this trip. She got up 5am in the morning and asked me if we are ready to go. After we got here, we went to the beach that is across the street from our rental, she was so excited about the sand and the water and kept repeating "this is the best day ever!" :) Ellie: I hope you have many more best days to come!!

Ellie is also a lot more comfortable with the water this time (this is her 4th trip to Hawaii.. Believe it or not!) she was practicing "surfing" with me and daddy. If water or sand got into her face, she just grabbed the towel and wipe it off!

We both got a Hawaiian dress! Ellie was dancing and showing off her new dress.

Finale in our trip is to watch sunset on the Haleakala summit. We stayed around for another hour to watch the most beautiful starry sky! We had such a wonderful time! Next stop: lewistown and gillette to spend Christmas with families.

Easter

I wanted to take Ellie to some Easter egg hunt events. But I didn't know that these events are mostly on Saturday and not the Easter Sunday. Oops... Oh well we will hunt eggs in the house again 😜

San Diego

We went to San Diego for vacation during my birthday weekend. It was a fun trip. First we went to legoland. This is the first theme park for Ellie. She can't play in some of the rides but we still had fun. I especially like the pirate battle ship. All of us got really wet haha.

Thanks to daddy. Mommy got a jumbo pikachu and Ellie got a panda!

We also went to the zoo and sea world. Good to see 舅父，舅母Karen and Keith.

Last day of the trip we went to a beach. Very very pretty and it was a gorgeous day!

Yummy!

Tuesday is daddy's game night (today he just worked overtime) and it's me and Ellie's free night! We eat sushi, go to playground, eat ice cream! Sometimes we go to crossroad mall because there is a merry go around. The past few weeks we came to Bellevue sq and we would walk around Disney store and run around in kids cove.

It's fun. It is great to forget about cooking and housework for a night and spend some fun time with my lovely girl. I love you Ellie! 

Autumn fun

Summer is over. It started to rain and we need to pull out all the winter clothes and make sure the heater at home is working.

Luckily there were still some nice weekends. 

Salmon days festival last weekend. Ellie rode on a pony for the first time! And we did some other fun things like the train ride and bouncy house.

This week we went to pumpkin patch. Got a few pumpkins of different sizes for our Halloween art projects.  

We also got to go to the Seahawks game. The stadium was so loud I had keep the ear plugs in Ellie's ears the whole time. But we had fun and Seahawks won too.

This is the tie dye bandana Jen helped us to make at her party.  She loves being a pirate!! 

Every Tuesday it's daddy's game night. Also me and Ellie's sushi and michael's night! Trying out a Halloween hat here.

First gardening experience

This summer our friend Ian and Jen gave us several plants (tomatoes, cilantro, pepper and thyme). Some of them grew bigger and some of them died or got eaten. When my parents came my dad made a gardening box and moved the plants in the box and bigger pots.

Dad also built a temporary deck and put the plants there. I moved them to the sunnier area but deers came and ate some of it😔.

Ellie helped watering the plant. We both had a lot of fun taking care of the plant! No fruit yet.. Hopefully we will get something before it gets cold.

This is the cactus rian and I brought back  4 years ago from HK 長洲. It was the size of a penny when we brought it back.  It is amazing to see it stays alive in the gloomy Seattle weather. (Very long and skinny due to the lack of sun).

Maui adventure

I

We are on a vacation in Maui. This is the 3rd time to Hawaii since Ellie was born. I love Hawaii, it's warm and sunny weather and beautiful beaches. 

This time around we are here with 公公grandpa, 婆婆grandma, auntie eve, uncle Wallace, iris and Tristan. We got 2 vacation rental in the same complex with ocean view. 

The trip has been quite relaxing so far. We all got some sunburn but enjoying the family time. Especially Ellie, she has been following iris everywhere.

Ellie was scared of the ocean so we built a little baby pool for her. She had fun splashing water.

It was Tristan's birthday. He got a birthday present that can connect to vegetables and play piano. Pretty funny!
