First stop after 3 days at sea. A bit miserable considering not much to do, Rian was sick and the cabin was wobbly and noisy. I was, however, quite happy about some episode of Japanese TV and an episode of iron chef. Seeing a familiar show is comforting in a way.
Geraldton is a small coastal town in western Australia. We can take a bus to visit some tourist spots but we decided to take it easy and just walk around the waterfront. There was a maritime museum about the history of the early settlement of the European coming by sea. Then we stopped at a cafe for coffee, where we learned the terms flat white and long black. Then we played in a playground for a bit and the beach for another half an hour or so. The beach was really beautiful. Powder white sand and green water. Reminded me the movie about the camel lady in australia. Wished we spend more time there!
